Turks and Caicos Great Budget Hotels
The Turks and Caicos tends to be a very expensive destination, especially for accommodation. Much of Grace Bay Beach features expansive and luxurious resorts, which have high price tags to match their exquisite ambiance.
While there are no true budget hotels on Providenciales—most hotel rooms start at $200 per night (2024 price)—there are some more affordable options to consider, including some beachfront accommodations. Keep in mind that many of the resorts on this list are popular, so availability can be limited throughout much of the year. Specials do sometimes come up with short notice, yet it’s often best to make reservations well in advance of your intended visit.
Another consideration is rental vacation villas, which can be a bargain for larger groups. It’s often possible to find a great beachfront property with per-person rates comparable to a budget hotel for a party of several guests. Check out Budget Vacation Tips for information on more ways to save.
Ocean Club Resort
Ocean Club and its counterpart resort, Ocean Club West, are beachfront resorts on Grace Bay Beach with a full range of amenities. Both properties are located on excellent stretches of white sand and turquoise water. The two Ocean Clubs offer studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites, catering to couples as well as families.
Both hotels are also within easy walking distance of many restaurants. Ocean Club is close to the longest undeveloped stretch of Grace Bay Beach as well as the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club. Ocean Club West is near several of the Grace Bay shopping and dining plazas.
Villa del Mar
Villa del Mar is a condo resort that’s located a short walk away from one of the best stretches of Grace Bay Beach. This elegant retreat features two pools, lush landscaping, a hot tub, a poolside bar, and service and loungers at the beach.
Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance of Villa Del Mar, including those at the enclaves of Ports of Call and Caicos Café Plaza. Stays include free breakfast.
Inn at Grace Bay
The Inn at Grace Bay is a small hotel that isn’t beachfront, but that has a very convenient location. Grace Bay Beach is only five minutes away on foot. Additionally, the largest concentration of dining and shopping on Providenciales can be found nearby at the Regent Village, Saltmills Plaza, and Le Vele Plaza.
Guests have access to a free continental breakfast and a nice swimming pool. The accommodation at this property consists of one-bedroom apartments, making it better-suited to couples rather than families. The apartments feature a full kitchen and washer and dryer.
Ports of Call Resort
Ports of Call Resort is a popular hotel in central Grace Bay and a counterpart to the small shopping and dining enclave of Ports of Call. The resort is located a 0.25-mile (0.4 km) walk from Grace Bay Beach. A complimentary shuttle service to and from the beach is provided for guests.
Ports of Call Resort is one of the better choices for those looking to not rent a car during their stay. Within very short walking distance is the Graceway Gourmet supermarket and the dining and shopping options of Ports of Call Plaza, La Petite Place, and Caicos Café Plaza. The extensive collection of shops and restaurants at Regent Village and Saltmills Plaza are 10 minutes away on foot.
Island Club
Island Club is another economical accommodation option in central Grace Bay. The property is a townhouse condo complex with studios and two- or three-bedroom options. Suites include full kitchens, patios with seating, and BBQs. The complex has a shared central pool.
The Manor Street access to Grace Bay Beach is a five-minute walk (0.25 miles or 0.4 km) away, and the Saltmills, Le Vele Plaza, and Regent Village are only steps away. Some great dining options are nearby, including Provence, Yoshi’s, Castaway's, Bella Luna, and more.
Seascape Hotel
Seascape Hotel is an inland accommodation that's just a seven-minute walk from Grace Bay Beach. This small boutique hotel offers tasteful, modern rooms at a better price than some of its beachfront counterparts. The rooms also feature kitchenettes that are ideal for preparing breakfast or lunch.
There's a beautiful saltwater pool on the property surrounded by a spacious deck and loungers. To get to the beach, you can either walk from the resort or take the beach shuttle (a small golf cart).
You'll want to rent a car if you plan to explore the beaches, attractions, and shopping and dining of Providenciales. While the plazas of Grace Bay are a short drive away, they're too far for a pleasant walk.
The Tides
The Tides is a small boutique hotel that is a one-minute walk from the tranquil Bight Beach. Stays include a free continental breakfast, daily lounger and umbrella setup on the beach, bicycles, a fitness center, and in-room laundry. There's a beautiful pool with pergolas and loungers to enjoy when you want a break from the beach.
The Tides can be a nice option for travelers who want to stay close to the beach but don't need the amenities offered by more expensive properties. Suites are equipped with kitchens you can use to prepare lunch and dinner. If you'd like to eat out, there are several nearby restaurants.
Zenza Hotel
One of a handful of hotels located in the Turtle Cove area of Providenciales, Zenza is a boutique hotel with bright and airy rooms. The nearby beach offers some of the best shore snorkeling on Providenciales (Smith’s Reef). It's common to see turtles, eagle rays, stingrays, and colorful reef fish gliding past vibrant corals.
Several affordable restaurants are nearby, including the casual Turks Wave Café and expansive Mango Reef. All rooms come with a patio or balcony overlooking the beautiful Turtle Cove Marina, where several boat charters and excursions depart.
Harbour Club Villas
Harbour Club Villas is a collection of six one-bedroom villas located in the Turtle Tail area of Providenciales. It offers a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Grace Bay, with laid-back apartments that come with fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities, and access to a shared pool with shade.
South Side Marina, where several boat charters companies are based, is adjacent to the property. There isn't much around besides a casual restaurant, so it's best to rent a car for your stay.
