Providenciales Tennis
Tennis is a popular sport for visitors and residents in the Turks and Caicos, and many of the larger resort and luxury vacation rentals have onsite tennis courts and facilities.
Most resorts include the use of tennis courts as a complimentary amenity for guests staying at the resort and offer reasonable rates for those staying elsewhere.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club in Grace Bay and the Graceway Sports Center near Leeward Highway in central Providenciales both have lit courts and are easy for the public to access, with low fees and equipment rentals. These facilities are also the better choice for those in need of a partner due to the additional foot traffic.
Most tennis accessories and equipment can be found for sale in the Turks and Caicos—however, prices are often much higher than what’s common in the United States, so it makes sense to bring a can of balls with you if you expect to play much. The racket selection is also limited.
Tennis Courts
Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club
The extensive Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club located on the eastern side of the Grace Bay region features two well-maintained and lit courts that you can book for tennis or pickleball.
This complex offers court rental by the hour as well as annual memberships. Tennis courts rent for $30 per hour and racket rental is $10 (2026 price). Reservations are required.
Graceway Sports Center
The centrally located Graceway Sports Center has four fully lit tennis courts and is typically open late (especially on weekdays). They also have squash and badminton facilities.
You can choose from annual, monthly, or hourly court rental. The hourly rate for renting a court is $30, and their monthly tennis membership is $65. It's advisable to reserve courts in advance.
Lessons and Instruction
Several full-time professional tennis instructors operate on Providenciales, with services ranging from introductory lessons for all ages to careful critique of experienced players. Private, group, and children's lessons are offered by both the golf club and sports center. Some of the luxury resorts have their own tennis coach on staff.
The TCI Tennis Academy, headed by ITF Level 3 certified coach Reinaldo Garcia, operates out of the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club and teaches a wide range of lessons, including private lessons and tennis camps for kids.
Equipment Rental and Sales
Tennis equipment can be purchased and rented at the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club and Graceway Sports Center. Entry-level equipment, tennis balls, and other sports equipment is available at Building Materials Do It Center on Leeward Highway.
