The 8 Best Turks and Caicos Luxury Resorts

Aerial view of Grace Bay Beach and the Point Grace Resort
Luxury resorts on Grace Bay.

The Turks and Caicos Islands is home to a wonderful collection of luxury resorts, each of which offers its own unique ambiance and amenities. Grace Bay Beach on the island of Providenciales is home to many of the larger resorts and hotels, as the world-famous coast is truly exceptional.

The smaller beaches and cays are also spectacular and tend to be much more secluded (perfect for a quiet and off-the-beaten-path vacation or honeymoon).

The amenities and services that luxury properties in the Turks and Caicos offer guests are a cut above what you would expect from the typical hotel—private chefs, personal butlers and concierges, and in some cases private pools, to name a few. While the vast majority of the luxury hotels offer à la carte stays, a few of these properties can be booked as all-inclusives.

Trying to narrow down the accommodation choices for your stay? Here are eight Turks and Caicos luxury resorts that stand out for their location, amenities, ambiance, and more.

The remote Ambergris Cay Resort offers perhaps the greatest privacy and seclusion of any Turks and Caicos luxury resort. This all-inclusive property is located on a private island found a fair distance from the country's other main islands on the southeastern edge of the Caicos Banks. Accommodations include managed homes across the cay and small standalone villas near the main complex and restaurant.

Ambergris Cay is an excellent choice for those seeking an upscale and secluded stay. Dining is limited to what the hotel provides, either through its restaurant and beach clubhouse or a private chef. The island has very limited development and is quite scenic. Water sports, fishing, and hiking are exceptional. The nature reserve of Little Ambergris Cay, which offers some of the finest coastal landscapes in the Turks and Caicos, is a short boat trip away. Transit to Ambergris Cay is via aircraft from Providenciales.

Amanyara is an exclusive luxury resort found on the remote western coast of Providenciales. An essential part of what makes Amanyara an outstanding property is its location. Fronting the hotel is the Northwest Point Marine National Park, whose waters see far less boat traffic than those off Grace Bay and Long Bay. The beautiful Malcolm’s Road Beach, equally quiet, leads off to the north. To the south is the Frenchman's Creek and Pigeon Pond Nature Reserve, which is a complex protected area of mangrove wetlands, coastlines, ponds, and small barrier cays.

Amanyara provides a high level of service and amenities. Onsite, you can discover excellent dining, a spa, a very quiet beach with nearby snorkeling, water sports amenities, and tennis courts. The accommodations are standalone villas nestled in verdant vegetation, which gives the retreat a secluded and private atmosphere. This oceanfront property is popular with celebrities.

The exclusive Pine Cay Resort, located on the private island of Pine Cay just a short boat ride from Providenciales, is a wonderful place for quiet and secluded getaways. As with Amanyara and COMO Parrot Cay, the resort is popular with celebrities and is located on one of the top beaches in the country (boasting white sand, crystal-clear aquamarine water, and very few visitors).

Staying on Pine Cay is a unique experience that's rare to find in the Caribbean. You'll find a sleepy island with beautiful Caicos pine trees, little development, and paths only traveled by golf carts (there are no cars on the island). Accommodations are villas or private homes managed by the resort. Given Pine Cay's remote location, dining options are limited to the property's restaurant. The island also has its own airport to accommodate private aircraft.
