Providenciales Parasailing
Parasailing is available in the Grace Bay Beach region of Providenciales and is an exciting way to experience a bird’s eye view of the turquoise ocean water, the beaches, resorts, and tour boats below. Most parasail flights in the Turks and Caicos allow for a 10-15 minute ride in the air. If you’d prefer a longer flight, many operators offer private adventures.
From high above the water, many of the larger sea creatures can be seen swimming below, including turtles, dolphins, rays and sharks, and an unforgettable view is had of the complex network of coral that makes up our barrier reef. During smooth conditions, it’s also possible to see starfish in the clear sandy areas.
You’ll also see Hobie cats and other boats sailing below. Once in the sky, you can spot the island of Little Water Cay and Half Moon Bay Beach to the east. Tubing, where a float ride is pulled behind a powerboat, is another fun water sport that can be seen happening below.
Luxurious mega yachts moor outside the barrier reef at times, including some vessels owned by celebrities.
Due to our ocean clarity and the scenic natural sights and resorts, Providenciales offers some of the finest parasailing in the Caribbean.
Several different factors come together to create our pristine beach and ocean environments, and parasailing in the Turks and Caicos offers one of the top ways to experience the transitions between white sand beaches, sheltered reefs, spur and groove barrier reef, and the deep blue Atlantic off the Caicos underwater plateau. The beautiful range of blue, topaz and turquoise hues is breathtaking.
Parasailing is one of our top things to do in the Turks and Caicos, and is a great family activity, as it’s suitable for everyone other than small children.
What to Bring
You’re welcome to take a camera with you to record the incredible view! We advise selecting a compact with a wrist strap, and preferably waterproof! A small and waterproof camera is something that’s easy to carry, so you’ll have photos of the highlights of your vacation.
Another great accessory to have are polarized sunglasses, which reduce water surface reflections and allow for a much clearer view of the reefs and sea life of Grace Bay.

Booking Your Parasailing Excursion
Average flights are about 15 to 20 minutes, and are capable of reaching nearly 500 feet (152 m). The local parasail captains don’t really have a set minimum age, and depending on total weight, it’s possible for up to three people to ride per flight. No experience is necessary to ride and no controls are operated by the rider. The captain and crew guide the whole excursion.
The best rates are typically had by booking in advance directly with the parasail company. We advise calling or emailing directly.
Although excursions can be arranged by dealing directly with the parasail captains on the beach, reservations are preferred. When space is available, observers are usually allowed to ride along for a nominal fee. Private charters are also offered. If you’d prefer, certain flight times can be reserved.
Depending on your preference, the parasail adventure can begin with a pickup either on Grace Bay Beach in front of your hotel or resort, or at a local marina.
Cancellations
In the case that your Turks and Caicos parasailing adventure is canceled due to poor weather conditions, trips will often be rescheduled or canceled at no charge.
Typically, if a cancellation is made for other reasons 24 hours prior to the trip, no fee is applicable. If bookings are canceled with less notice, hefty fees may apply.
Safety
Unlike in some other tropical countries, custom parasailing powerboats are used in the Turks and Caicos, with proper decks and winch systems. This means that rides are safer, the launch is easier, and you don’t have to get wet—unless you want to!
What’s the Best Time to Parasail?
As is the case with most outdoor activities in the Turks and Caicos, there are optimal conditions for parasailing. If your vacation schedule allows, we advise planning excursions such as parasailing, water sports rentals, snorkeling and boat cruises around the calmest weather.
When the wind and breeze are very low, the ocean visibility and clarity is best, allowing you to spot more of the interesting marine life and reef formations.
If there’s an ocean swell present, the barrier reef may have sets of majestic waves rolling in, another highly impressive sight.
