La Vista Azul at Turtle Cove, Providenciales.

Tucked away on a hillside overlooking the mesmerizing blues of Grace Bay Beach, across from Turtle Cove on Providenciales, is the Mediterranean-style La Vista Azul hotel.

With accommodation options that include hotel rooms, studio suites, and one-bedroom suites, La Vista Azul offers travelers a quiet and private place to stay with alluring ocean views on the north shore and the Princess Alexandra National Park—without the Grace Bay crowds.

The hotel rooms at this resort offer one or two queen-size beds and 240 square feet (22 m²) of living space, while the studio suites range from 700 to 951 square feet (65 to 88 m²) in size. The one-bedroom suites, meanwhile, come with one queen-size bed and one pull-out sofa bed in a space ranging between 1,049 and 1,097 square feet (97 to 102 m²). And all the suites come with a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and access to a private terrace.

All the rooms also come with flat-screen televisions, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and complimentary beach towels and chairs.

But no matter which accommodation you choose, you’ll benefit from the property's tempting amenities and walkable location.

Restaurants and Dining

Just downstairs from the hotel is Simone's Bar and Grill, a small local restaurant with a focus on Turks and Caicos and Caribbean cuisine. Favorite dishes here include conch salad, conch fritters, local snapper and grouper, and a variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and more. There's also the Turks Wave Café, a coffee shop and breakfast spot just a short walk down the road.

With their unique location in Turtle Cove Marina, La Vista Azul is located near several restaurants that are right on the water. Eatery options include Mango Reef, which serves a little bit of everything, from fresh local seafood to international favorites.

Sharkbite Bar and Grill, meanwhile, is a pub-style restaurant that has more casual fare and plenty of TVs if you’re hoping to catch a particular sports game. And next door to Sharkbite is Baci Ristorante, an Italian restaurant that serves classic Italian dishes and pizzas. After lunch or dinner, you can stroll along the docks at the marina and check out the boats.

Located in Turtle Cove

La Vista Azul is located on the cliff overlooking Turtle Cove. A 10-minute walk from La Vista Azul is Smith’s Reef—a popular snorkeling site comprising several reef systems and coral heads. Smith’s Reef is easy to access as it’s found just a short swim from the shore, and it’s an ideal spot for snorkelers of all experience levels. Here, it’s not uncommon to see turtles, stingrays, and spotted eagle rays.

If you do decide to rent a car to explore more of the island, you can get to the Grace Bay strip—where you’ll find a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as several public accesses to the pristine Grace Bay Beach—in less than 10 minutes. Bear in mind that Grace Bay Beach stretches for three miles, so there are also several public beach accesses along the way—and the beaches on the western end are generally quieter.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Turks and Caicos outside of the Grace Bay area—someplace more private in a walkable location, with two rooftop swimming pools to boot—La Vista Azul is the perfect option.
