Eco Bikes TCI is an electric bike (e-bike) company that rents motorized bicycles you can use to explore Providenciales. Electric bikes allow you to cover more distance at a faster pace than you would be able to using a traditional bicycle. Eco Bikes TCI’s Grace Bay location is a short walk away from several beachfront resorts, including Seven Stars Resort & Spa, Ports of Call Resort, and the Ritz-Carlton.
The e-bikes are rented by the day or week, with discounts available for week-long rentals. The company also offers a delivery service that brings the e-bikes right to your hotel or villa. Each bike has a rack where you can keep your groceries or a beach bag and a front basket for storing personal items. The bikes have all-terrain tires, LED headlights, and an integrated taillight.
Cycling is a popular activity in the Turks and Caicos. Many tourists use bicycles to explore Grace Bay, the Bight, and Turtle Cove. Remember to always carry water with you while you’re cycling, as the sun can get quite hot.

How E-Bikes Work
Riding an electric bike is a less energy-intensive activity than traditional cycling, making it a good option for travelers with mobility issues, activity restrictions, or those who simply want to enjoy a more leisurely ride through Grace Bay.
Electric bikes are essentially traditional bikes that have an electric pedal assistance feature, which you can activate when you need a boost to cycle uphill, traverse rougher terrain like gravel or dirt roads, or use throughout the ride for an easier pedal experience. Electric bikes are powered by a rechargeable battery. They also feature a throttle, which works like a gas pedal to power the bike forward while you coast.
Eco Bikes TCI’s e-bikes are made from a lightweight aluminum frame yet robust enough to provide a smoother ride than traditional bicycles. They feature four levels of power (or pedal assistance) that you can use to support your ride.
Eco Bikes’ e-bikes have a 50-mile (80 km) range, far greater than what you’ll need to explore the popular cycling areas on Providenciales. Pickup and drop-off is at the Grace Bay location.
Where to Go
The main cycling areas on Provo are Grace Bay, Leeward, the Bight, and Turtle Cove. These connected areas have the most suitable roads for cycling and are frequented by cyclists, making them safer than other routes in the country.
That being said, there are other routes that some cyclists choose to explore (though you should be very careful doing so, as drivers can be reckless). Below is a map of cycling routes. Note that these are NOT cycle routes—there are no dedicated or shared cycle lanes in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The estimated cycling times are for non-motorized bicycles, so these routes will take less time to complete on an electric bike.

Located in Grace Bay
Grace Bay is located on the central northern side of Providenciales, and is the center of tourism, upscale shopping, and dining in the Turks and Caicos. World-famous Grace Bay Beach borders this region, and many of the island’s resorts and hotels are located in the area.
